Facebook friend invites - episode 2

I finally sent a facebook friend request to my father-in-law. Now that might not sound like a big deal, but when you're a crossdresser and you're not sure if your inlaws know that or not, and you send the request from a female profile on facebook, which has a corresponding crossdressed avatar photo and he accepts the friend request without comment, it makes things interesting. I still don't know if he knows but I suspect that he might. :)

  1. Huh? Are you sure he knows it's you? Did you write a PS saying "Hey, it's me, what do you think about it?" or something like that? I don't know how Facebook works, but on Friendster I don't just accept anyone's request indiscriminately. Your FIL's non-response intriqued me...

  2. Well that's just it. I was already friends with a couple of people he knows, and who know both sides of me. I honestly don't know if he just looked at the fact that I knew a couple of people he knows and just went "oh, okay." :)

  3. Wow. So now what? Maybe you should ask him outright if he knows that it's you.

  4. We've been to their place for dinner once this week and nothing was said about it!

One of the reasons for doing the facebook invites was that it was easier than saying something directly to people.

I've since sent invites to 2 more rellos and had no responses aside from my father-in-law's acceptance without comment.

  5. I think he really has no idea. Are you going to send him a clue?

  6. We were at our inlaws' place for dinner tonight. I commented to my father-in-law "I notice that you accepted a friend request from someone else on facebook. Do you know who Alice is?" He was in the middle of looking at some paperwork and offhandedly commented "No, not yet."

I guess I'll have to figure out how to start dropping clues. :)
